Biography

Dr Kazuki Ozawa is a postdoctoral researcher at the Oxford Thermofluids Institute, Department of Engineering Science, University of Oxford. He completed his PhD at Imperial College London. His research focuses on high-enthalpy and hypersonic flows, thermal protection materials, plasma–surface interactions, and experimental diagnostics for extreme environments.

Current Research Projects

High-enthalpy material testing and diagnostics: Experimental investigation of thermal protection and advanced materials under high-heat-flux plasma conditions using the Oxford Osney Plasma Generator (OPG), with infrared thermography, pyrometry, spectrometer, and imaging techniques to characterise material response.
