Biography

Kevin Otiato is a Rhodes Scholar studying for a DPhil in Engineering Science. His research focuses on integrating electric cooking technologies with power-limited solar photovoltaic (PV) systems as a pathway to clean cooking in sub-Saharan Africa (SSA). Specifically, his work examines low-cost, energy-efficient cooking solutions for SSA staple meals, with an emphasis on temperature control, automation, and system integration for off-grid and energy-constrained contexts.
