Biography
Kwan Lok Wong joined the University of Oxford as a DPhil Student in October 2021 after receiving his MEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering at University of Aberdeen. Currently, he is working on investigating the effect of changing plastic work on macroscopic properties of titanium alloys in collaboration with Rolls-Royce. His research involves developing experimentally-validated multiscale models to correlate plastic work on titanium alloys to their macroscopic elasto-plastic material properties, which can then predict and ultimately prescribe the desired properties to the alloys through various manufacturing and processing techniques.
Research Interests
- High strain-rate behaviour of materials
- Micromechanics of polycrystalline materials under severe plastic deformation
- Microstructure modelling
Current Projects
