Biography
Laurence is a DPhil candidate in Engineering Science at the Oxford e-Research Centre. Her research focuses on the use building energy simulation tools to accelerate the transition to net-zero emissions in the UK's non-domestic building sector. By developing practical simulation frameworks, her work aims to bridge the gap between theoretical energy efficiency potential and real-world implementation challenges faced by commercial and institutional buildings. Laurence works under the supervision of Professor David Wallom and Dr Phil Grunewald.
Laurence completed her MSc in Energy Systems at the University of Oxford in 2023 and holds a BEng in mechanical engineering from McGill University.
Outside of research, Laurence plays for the Oxford Women's Blues basketball team.
