Biography
Nick studied mechanical engineering at the University of Oxford, before founding First Light Fusion during his PhD studies. First Light Fusion is developing a new method for inertial fusion, with the aim of providing a clean, baseload power source. Under Nick's leadership, the company raised $100M, grew to 100 people, and reach experimental demonstration of fusion in the lab. After 12 years as CEO and CTO, Nick moved on and has started his second business, Simfinity, developing the next generation of simulation tools to help engineers cut through complex physics to find the best designs. Nick is proudly autistic and an advocate for the neurodiverse.
