Ozgur Aslan PhD

Biography

Professor Aslan earned his Ph.D. in Computational Mechanics from Mines ParisTech in 2010, and holds a Master’s degree in Computational Mechanics of Materials and Structures (COMMAS) from the University of Stuttgart. His academic path includes postdoctoral appointments at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Los Alamos National Laboratory, focusing on multiscale-multiphysics modeling for advanced material systems.

Prof. Aslan is an accomplished computational scientist and academic leader with extensive experience in advanced research, education, and industrial collaboration. He is a Professor and Director of the Computational Science and Engineering Laboratory at Atilim University, Turkey, specializing in computational mechanics, material modeling, and numerical simulations. He has supervised numerous Ph.D. and M.Sc. theses and actively mentors early-career researchers. In addition to his research contributions, Prof. Aslan has held leadership roles such as Vice Dean and Department Head at Atilim University.

Prof. Aslan’s research interests focus on advancing the understanding and application of computational mechanics, with particular emphasis on the following areas:
