Biography

Sa Zhu earned her BEng (Hons) degree in 2020 from the University of Edinburgh and South China University of Technology, specializing in Mechanical Engineering with Renewable Energy, and Energy and Power Engineering, respectively. In 2021, she completed her MSc at Imperial College London, specializing in Advanced Computational Methods (for Aeronautics, Flow Management and Fluid-Structure Interaction), where she was honored with the "Aeronautics Prize for the Best Student." Since graduation, Sa worked as an engineer at the 2012 Laboratories of HUAWEI Technologies Co., Ltd. from 2021 to 2024.

Currently, she is a DPhil candidate in Engineering Science, having joined the Environmental Fluid Mechanics group in 2024 under the supervision of Professor Richard Willden and Dr Christopher Vogel. Her research focuses on computational fluid dynamics for renewable energy.
