Biography
Sangchu completed his BEng at the University of Nottingham in 2020 and MSE at the Johns Hopkins University in 2022. He is currently a PhD student working on understanding hydrogen embrittlement mechanisms in metallic materials, including pure nickel, nickel-based alloys, steel, and aluminium. His research focuses on hydrogen-assisted intergranular cracking, hydrogen–plasticity interactions, and quantitative measurement of grain boundary resistance to hydrogen using micro-cantilever bending.
