Biography
Dr Mostafa Nosratabadi is a Research Assistant specializing in Energy Market Integration for Grid-Scale Storage at the Department of Engineering Science, University of Oxford, UK. Prior to this, he served as a Research Associate at the School of Engineering, University of Edinburgh, UK, and held the position of Assistant Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering at Sirjan University of Technology, Iran.
His academic background includes a Ph.D. earned from the University of Isfahan in Electrical Engineering in 2016. During this, he collaborated on day-ahead and intra-day power markets of Iberian Electricity Market as visiting researcher at the Universidad de Castilla – La Mancha, Spain. Mostafa has taken on significant roles as PI or Co-PI in 6 research projects within the field of power and energy systems, which were funded by various universities and companies. His research interests revolve around power and energy systems modelling, operation, management, and optimization.

Current Projects
DIGEST: Data-Driven Exploration of the Carbon Emissions Impact of Grid Energy Storage Deployment and Dispatch (EPSRC project EP/W027321/1) - This project is investigating the potential value for system cost and carbon emissions that optimal grid energy storage deployment and operation could unlock in Great Britain.
The project is a collaboration between the University of Oxford, Imperial College London and Brunel University London.
