Biography
Xiaowen Dong is an Associate Professor in the Department of Engineering Science, where he is a member of the Machine Learning Research Group. He is also a Fellow and Tutor in Engineering at Lady Margaret Hall. Prior to joining Oxford, he was a postdoctoral associate at the MIT Media Lab, and received his PhD degree from the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland.

Research Interests
Xiaowen’s main research interests concern signal processing and machine learning techniques for analysing graph-structured data, and their applications in social, urban, and financial network analysis.
