Biography
Dr Yiwen Xing is a Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Data Visualization at the University of Oxford. She earned her PhD in Computer Science and MSc in Data Science from King's College London. Prior to that, she obtained dual BSc degrees in Statistics and Applied Psychology from East China Normal University. Dr Xing’s research focuses on information visualization, human-computer interaction, and data science, with an emphasis on interdisciplinary applications. Her work bridges computer science and the humanities, as exemplified by the BookTracker project, which aids in visualizing historical book trade data for domain-specific use.
