Biography
Dr Yue Chen is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Impact and Shock Mechanics Laboratory within the Department of Engineering Science. Her current research centres on the mechanical behaviour of metal alloys and polymer composites for aerospace applications, specifically under impact loading. Prior to her current position, she completed her DPhil in Engineering Science at University of Oxford, which focused on the dynamic response of polymeric syntactic foams under uniaxial and multiaxial Loadings, dependency on strain rate, temperature, and moisture content. She also holds a BEng in Engineering Mechanics from Harbin Institute of Technology (China) and a MSc in Advanced Composites from University of Bristol.
