Biography

Dr ZiSheng Liao is a Postdoctoral Research Assistant in the Department of Engineering Science at the University of Oxford. He obtained his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College London. His research interests lie in the mechanical behaviour and constitutive modelling of soft solids, with a focus on understanding the relationships between material microstructure, mechanical behaviour, and multiphysics processes. His research covers thermoplastic elastomers, hydrogels, silicone rubbers, and biomaterials, with expertise in experimental characterisation, constitutive modelling, and finite element analysis.
