Formula One Engineering Scholarship Application – Privacy Notice

In the course of completing this application, you will provide information about yourself (‘personal data’). The University of Oxford is the ‘Data Controller’ for this information and its processing, which means we will determine how to use it and are responsible for looking after it in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation and associated data protection legislation.

The Department is processing your data for the purpose of assessing your application for the Formula One Engineering Scholarship, and for purposes related to your application, such as assessing your eligibility for funding and your financial status. The data submitted through this form is being collected for the University by Microsoft Forms. Access to data stored within Microsoft Forms is strictly limited to their support and technical teams. This access is only permitted when it is at the request of the University, or necessary for the investigation of operational issues, or when required by law. Microsoft is required to take appropriate security measures to protect your data in line with our policies.

Access to your application data within the University will be provided only to those who need to view it as part of their work in carrying out the purposes described above.

We will not share your data with any other third parties.

Retaining your data

We will only retain your data for as long as we need it to meet our purposes, including any relating to legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.

You can withdraw your consent for the processing of your data at any time by contacting student.administration@eng.ox.ac.uk. In this event we will stop the processing as soon as we can and data will be deleted. Please bear in mind that this may have implications for our ability to consider or process your application.
