The Student Administration team within the Department of Engineering Science is currently undergoing a period of expansion and we are seeking an experienced academic administrator to manage the transition of our undergraduate examinations administration to a new team-based approach. The role will be based in central Oxford on a fixed-term basis to the 31st August 2022. This role may also be considered as a secondment for internal candidates.
In addition to taking responsibility for the production of a sub-set of examination papers within the Department, the Examinations Administrator will be instrumental in managing a change in the way that examinations are supported. The role will be demanding yet rewarding, and will provide the postholder with the opportunity to influence the administrative approach for undergraduate examinations.
You will be responsible for the practical management of all aspects of undergraduate examinations, directing the work of two Undergraduate Studies Officers and an Undergraduate Studies Assistant to ensure that a high quality examinations administration service is provided to students and academics.
You will be a proactive self-starter, comfortable with working proactively on your own initiative and managing a team to achieve University and Departmental objectives. Experience of managing administrative processes, ideally in a higher education environment, is critical to this role. You will also possess excellent IT skills and possess a very high level of attention to detail.
