Description
We are seeking a highly capable administrator to provide day to day operational management of the undergraduate administration team, and provide expert level examinations administration and support. The postholder will be based within the Department of Engineering Science’s Student Administration Team and will be responsible for programme management for approximately 650 undergraduate students. This is a permanent post.
Keeping up to date with current developments in the HE sector, you will assist the Head of Student Administration in providing a high quality academic administration service to staff and students.
You should have previous experience of working in higher education student support, programme management, or exams administration and have demonstrable knowledge of systems and procedures for academic and/or student support. You should also have previous experience of line management or directing the work of other staff, achieving results through a team-based approach.
The Student Administration Office, based in central Oxford is the focus for student lifecycle support in the Department of Engineering Science, ranging from access & outreach activity, through on-course administration, to supporting the department’s alumni community.
The postholder will be expected to spend the large majority of their working hours on site. Whilst the role is a grade 7 position, we would be willing to consider candidates with potential but less experience who are seeking a development opportunity, for which an initial appointment would be at grade 6.
