Biography

 Ata is an OCIS JEF scholar pursuing a DPhil in the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Wind and Marine Energy Systems and Structures (WAMESS CDT) at the Department of Engineering Science, University of Oxford. He is conducting research on wind turbine wake dynamics, employing advanced Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulation techniques. Ata holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering from Middle East Technical University, Turkey. During his master’s studies, he was awarded the National Graduate Scholarship from the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) and worked as a research assistant. His master’s work focused on aerodynamic simulations of wind turbine blade sections with optimised flow control.
