Biography
Dr Callum Cuttle is a postdoctoral researcher in The Department of Engineering Science, working in the Poromechanics laboratory. He joined Prof. Chris MacMinn's group in 2020 to study flows in deformable porous media. Since February 2024, he has been conducting microfluidic experiments and continuum modelling of complex fluids in soil models for the EPSRC-funded project PoPFS. His work combines precise benchtop experiments with reduced order mathematical modelling and numerical methods.
Research Interests
- Gas compression-driven displacement flows
- Pattern forming multi-phase flows
- Fluid-structure interactions
- Soft porous media
- Ocular science and glaucoma treatment
Current Projects
Callum is currently employed on the DEFTPORE project, examining fundamental aspects of flows in highly deformable soft, porous media.
