Biography

Davide is a DPhil Candidate in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Oxford. His research, as part of the "Beyond Antibiotics" programme, is focused on the discovery and development of new strategies to tackle antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in bacterial biofilms. He works under the supervision of Prof. Eleanor Stride and Prof. Dario Carugo.

He completed his integrated MSc in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology with distinction, at the University of Pavia (Italy). Prior to his DPhil, he joined Prof. Bonferoni's theranostic and nanotherapies laboratory, where he conducted research on transdermal delivery of drug nanoparticles. Subsequently, he also shortly joined Prof. Dario Carugo uDrip group at University College London School of Pharmacy, where he focused on liposomes, micro bubbles and drug nanoparticles production methods.
