Biography
Before joining the University of Oxford, Jack was a Vice President at JPMorgan Chase, working as a Quantitative Researcher in New York. He discovered machine learning through a part-time Master's degree at Columbia University, where he worked on new Evolutionary Algorithms for Reinforcement Learning. Jack is originally from London and completed his undergraduate degree in Mathematics at the University of Exeter.
Research Interests
Generalization in Reinforcement Learning, both from the algorithmic side (AutoRL) and the agent side (robustness to changes in the environment/data distribution).
