Biography
Merlin graduated with a First-Class Honours degree in MSci Chemistry from University College London (UCL). He then joined the MMC Lab in 2025 as a DPhil student, where he works on covalent-organic frameworks (COFs) and their applications as triboelectric nanogenerators. Outside of the lab, Merlin likes to fence, play basketball and play the drums.
Research Interests
Merlin's research revolves around the mechanical and chemical properties of covalent-organic frameworks (COFs). Through a combination of computational modelling and characterisation techniques, his project aims to incorporate various COF materials into real-life applications, such as triboelectric nanogenerators.
