Biography

Nile Anderson is a Software Engineer in the Computational Health Informatics (CHI) Lab, working under Professor David Clifton on intelligent sensing technologies for digital health. He contributes to the design and development of next-generation sensor systems that enrich physiological data streams, supporting improved clinical assessment, monitoring, and prediction. His work extends existing platforms with new sensing capabilities and underpins future applications of sensor-driven technologies across the lab’s broader research in healthcare innovation.

Nile’s background is in Electronics Engineering, with experience in embedded systems design, and he holds an MSc in Artificial Intelligence. His work sits at the intersection of engineering, healthcare, and applied machine learning, where he is committed to building technologies that support real-world clinical impact.

Guided by the ethos of Dominus Illuminatio Mea — “The Lord is my Light” — Nile sees his engineering practice as a way to reflect the light of Christ through service, diligence, and care for others, inviting others to come and see.
