Biography

Xueli is a DPhil candidate in Molecular and Cellular Medicine at the University of Oxford (BUBBL group, Institute of Biomedical Engineering with Botnar Institute for Musculoskeletal Sciences). Under the supervision of Dr Dario Carugo, Professor Eleanor Stride and Professor Robin Cleveland, she works on ultrasound-mediated drug delivery research, with a focus on its application in the treatment of ocular diseases, including biofilm associated infections and neovascularisation diseases of the eye.

In 2020, she completed her MSc program with distinction award from University College London (School of Pharmacy), where she specialized in pharmaceutics and conducted research on novel anti-fungal drug discovery. Prior to her MSc, Xueli completed a BSc degree in Basic Pharmacy from China Pharmaceutical University, where she investigated the mechanisms of Lnc RNA CTD-3252C9.4 on pancreatic cancer function.
