SEE – Sustainable Engineering and Entrepreneurship
SEE – Sustainable Engineering and Entrepreneurship
Objective
SEE is a research initiative that leverages the potential of engineering methods and technologies to address complex socio-environmental challenges.
Research
We use systems perspectives to examine complex socioenvironmental challenges and exploresocial and technological innovations to create a positive impact.
Approach
In SEE, we are driven by problems and curiosity. We draw on interdisciplinary knowledge and research methods from engineering, design, social sciences and management to tackle multidisciplinary challenges.
Collaboration
We collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders – such as companies, governments, non-profits, and international organisations – to create research that extends theory and practice to create real-world impact.
Current topics
We accommodate researchers with a wide range of interests that advance socio-environmental sustainability. Some of our current research topics include: approaches to circularizing the economy; resilience in innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystems; sociotechnical sustainability transitions; and how acceleration, incubation, and living labs nurture sustainable technology and ventures.
