Lin Qiu DPhil

Biography

Dr Lin Qiu obtained her DPhil in Clinical Neurosciences from the University of Oxford in 2025. She completed a research master’s degree in Psychopathology, following an undergraduate conversion year in Psychology (Cum Laude), at Maastricht University in the Netherlands. Her first degree was in Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems at Beijing Normal University in China, which included training in quantitative analysis and 3D data modelling.

In June 2025, Lin joined Professor Daniel Bulte’s group as a Postdoctoral Researcher in Biomedical Engineering.

Current Research Projects

The Eye-Brain Project (Funder: EPSRC): This project investigates cerebrovascular reactivity (CVR) using brain imaging and pupillometry to better understand vascular contributions to brain health.

Research Interests

Dr Lin Qiu’s research interests include breathing, interoception, and, more recently, the evaluation of cerebrovascular dynamics such as cerebrovascular reactivity (CVR). She uses tools including magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and physiological measures such as pupillometry.
