Biography
Currently research assistant in the hypersonics group, Maïlys graduated in Aeronautical Engineering from Imperial College London in 2020, with first class honours and Head of Department award for Exceptional Achievement. She spent two months in RWTH Aachen for her Master thesis about "Infrared Thermography for Surface Convective Heat Transfer Measurement in a Hypersonic Boundary Layer". During her undergraduate studies, she spent two summers working on atmospheric re-entry and low-cost / low-temperature ablative materials such as naphtalene.
Research Interests
- Aerothermodynamics of re-entry
- Methods to measure and calculate heat transfers
