COLLEGE: St Cross College

Biography

Qihao graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Electrical Engineering with First Class Honours from the University of Sheffield in 2021. His final year project involved constructing Bismuth-based high-efficiency multi-junction solar cells, and he was awarded the “Peter Robson Prize” for the best Semiconductors Project. He also won the “Richard Rhodes Prize” for the best all around performance in July 2021. He graduated with a Master’s degree in Analogue and Digital Integrated Circuit Design from Imperial College London in 2022.

His Master’s research included the modeling of optoelectronic devices, the study of electromagnetic theory, and the development of a Memristor-Capacitor Crossbar array. Qihao joined the Soft Matter Photonics group in October 2022 and is supervised by Prof. Stephen Morris and Prof. Steve Elston. He is also a graduate member at St Cross College, Oxford.
